Solutions Design Architect 

Roots Automation is seeking a skilled Solutions Design Architect to join the Automation Engineering team, focused on leveraging Python and Process Automation technologies. This role involves parsing complex business rules into technical requirements and guiding a cross-disciplined team to successfully implement designed solutions. The ideal candidate is proficient in Python, has experience with RPA technologies, and excels in translating business needs into robust automation solutions. 

As a startup, Roots Automation offers a high-paced environment with ample growth and learning opportunities across multiple disciplines. The role involves direct interaction with clients (SMEs/Business Process Owners), infrastructure team (Automation & Cloud), front-end development team, and senior management. This role will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless implementation of automation solutions, and continuously improving existing automation frameworks. 

Responsibilities: 

• Design and develop automation solutions leveraging Python and Process Automation technologies. 
• Translate complex business rules and requirements into technical specifications, leveraging standardized and custom solutions developed in-house.
• Lead a cross-disciplined team to implement designed automation solutions in a remote, cloud-based, environment.
• Interact with clients to understand their business processes and requirements.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues in live automation solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and customer success teams to review and implement change requests. 
• Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks and templates
• Document and review process code and ensure readiness for deployment
• Manage and prioritize tasks using Agile or Scrum methodologies. 

Qualifications: 

• Proficiency in Python programming language.  
• Proven experience in developing Process Automation solutions across a range of business areas and technologies
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. 
• Familiarity with complementary technologies (APIs, OCR, AI/ML, etc.).
• Experience working within an Agile or Scrum-based continuous integration environment.
• Ability to develop and review Process Design documents and technical design documents.
• Comfortable working within project planning constraints and communicating project risks. 
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide a team of developers & testers
• Is an active learner with a passion for innovative technologies and design patterns
